Our Mission

The FCPR mission is to provide research-based services to facilitate solutions allowing each child to reach their full potential in all areas of communication and mobility. We believe in seeing each person as an individual with strengths and weaknesses. We are committed in evaluating and treating speech-language, physical, and occupational therapy as a part of the whole body experience.

FCPR educates families on techniques utilized during each session to provide carry-over in daily activities. At FCPR, you will experience a calming and relaxing atmosphere. The waiting area is equipped with stress relief amenities such as free Wi-Fi and coffee for parents and caregivers. You and your children can enjoy teas, water and snacks.




Meet Our Team


Vincenzo Vurro, M.A., CCC/SLP

"Mr. Vinny" graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders in 1999 and a Master of Arts Degree in 2002. He has worked with children and adults with special needs including patients with Down syndrome and autism since 2002. His expertise includes working with multiple speech and language disorders that are attributed to genetic, neurological, or developmental impairments. Vinny treats patients with oral motor dysfunction including voice, articulation, and fluency disorders. In 2012, he began his private practice serving central Florida.

Vinny belongs to the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). He is a trained and licensed swim instructor and has developed a speech and language aquatics summer program implementing sensory integration for special need children at the YMCA. He volunteers for Nathanial’s Hope, Down Syndrome Buddy Walk, Autism Speaks and Special Olympics Opening Eyes. His personal interests include traveling to Italy to spend time with family, and playing soccer. Vinny is fluent in English as well as Italian. He resides in Seminole county with his wife and son.

Vinny believes in treating his patients like family and strives to help each patient reach his/her maximum potential in speech and language development.




Jennifer Cosby, M.A., CCC/SLP

“Jen” graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders in 2005 and a Master of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders in 2008. Jennifer Cosby, MA CCC/SLP has been providing therapeutic speech/language services to infants, children, teens, and their families in the Orlando area since 2005. Jennifer began providing Early Intervention and Behavioral services in 2005 and furthered her area of expertise to include Speech, Language, and Feeding services in 2008.

She specializes in the following areas: Cleft Lip/Cleft Palate, Down Syndrome, Autism, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Auditory Processing Disorder, Developmental Delay, Articulation Delay, Oral Motor Disorder, and Tongue Thrust. Jen has extensive training in the following programs: Beckman Oral Motor Training, Hanen Program Training, DIR Floortime Training.

Jen belongs to the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Her personal interests include running, yoga, scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She resides in Orange County with her husband.

Jen enjoys providing compassionate and thorough care for all her patients. She strives to encourage every child to meet his or her maximum potential every session.




Cristina LaSalle, M.A., CCC/SLP

Cristina graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Science and Psychology in 2006 and a Master of Arts Degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders in 2011.

Cristina began her clinical work in the summer of 2010 at the UCF Communicative Disorders Clinic. In 2011, she began working for Seminole County Public Schools as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She continues to work full-time with students ranging from Pre-K to fifth grade with varying exceptionalities.

Cristina specializes in the areas of: Articulation Disorders, Phonological Disorders (Ex: "nake" for "snake" or "ca" for "cat"), Language Disorders, Fluency Disorders (stuttering), Developmental Delays (ie Down Syndrome), Autism Spectrum Disorders, Pragmatics (social skills), Early Intervention for speech and language delays (children 0-3 years).

Cristina belongs to the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Her personal interests include spending time with family and friends, and traveling. She resides with her husband and daughter in Seminole County.

About her Practice

Cristina strives to help patients develop communication skills to effectively communicate in the school setting and throughout their community.




Sharon Maharaj, M.A., CCC/SLP

Sharon Maharaj graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders 2007 and a Master of Arts degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders in 2011. Shortly after, she moved to St. Augustine, to complete her Clinical Fellowship with adults in the geriatric population facilitating the rehabilitation process with individuals dealing with dysphagia, strokes, dementia, dysarthria, aphasia and assisting with augmentative communication devices.

Her personal interests include learning, teaching and performing Indian Classical music as a part of Bhartiya Vidya Sansthaan (Institute for Indian Knowledge).

About her Practice

Sharon strives to help children in her community with varying speech, language and swallowing disorders obtain the tools, strategies and knowledge to become socially and academically successful.
